➔ UNION LABOUR JURISDICTIONS

Note: The Enercare Center operates under collective agreements with six distinct local unions. These agreements impact how work must be performed on-site and require the hiring of union personnel when tasks in your space involve these trades. The Enercare Center requires show management and exhibitors to adhere to all collective agreements in effect between the Enercare Centre, Exhibition Place, and the 6 unions:

1. LABOURERS [Exclusive to Local 506]

The role of Local 506 “Labour Workforce” is to assist in the assembly and dismantling of trade shows and exhibitions at the Enercare Center. The use of exhibition companies that do not have an agreement with Local 506 is strictly prohibited. The use of exhibitor company personnel is strictly limited to preparing elements and products that will be displayed during the event. You may use some of your staff to supervise the setup of your booth, as long as the setup/dismantling personnel are provided by Local 506. It is strongly recommended that you seek advice from show management before deciding to use your internal staff.

This rule applies to the following tasks:
– Loading and unloading trucks, banner installation, setup and dismantling of prefab booths,
