The SIAL Innovation contest is a unique international contest that rewards the best innovations in food and non-food related products, such as packaging and containers.

The contest is open to all exhibitors, and select winners based on the following 4 criteria: packaging, manufacturing process, merchandising, and recipe.

A word from the 2018 Gold Prize winner

SIAL innovation in 4 steps


Step 1

Register for the competition through the registration platform and pay the entry fees ($150 CAD) before March 22, 2019.


Step 2

On April 9, 2019, our Jury will select the winners amongst a pre-selection of the best innovations.


Step 3

The 10 winners will be announced to the press on April 16, 2019.


Step 4

During an official ceremony in front of the major actors of the food industry, our Jury will announce the grand-prize winners for the Gold, Silver and Bronze categories on April 30, 2019 - the first day of the SIAL Canada 2019 tradeshow.

One of the highlight of the show every year, SIAL Innovation is the only international competition that not only reveal the most innovative products in the food industry but also offer global visibility to the winning products.
